Sprayer Selection
& Use Guide

Start with the B5F bottle. Choose the closure for the job.

Purpose-Built Sprayers for Different Applications.

Not all sprayers are made the same. The gasket, nozzle, internal parts, and liquid path determine what each sprayer is built to handle.

CHOOSE BY LIQUID

Match the Configuration to the Job.

ALL-PURPOSE

Broad Compatibility for Most Cleaners and Alcohol-Based Liquids.

For household and commercial cleaners, alcohol-containing cleaners, glass and surface cleaners, sanitizing or deodorizing solutions, garden liquids, and general maintenance products.

HDPE Gasket

BLEACH-RESISTANT

Built for Chlorine Bleach.

For chlorine bleach and compatible bleach-containing cleaners that require a sprayer made for bleach service.

Bleach-Resistant Construction

HYDROCARBON-DUTY

Built for Petroleum, Oils and Detailing Liquids.

For compatible hydrocarbons, petroleum-based products, oils, and many automotive or detailing formulations.

NBR Gasket

ACID-DUTY

Built for Identified Acid Applications.

For supported acidic liquids matched to the sprayer, concentration, temperature, and use conditions.

Specialty Gasket + Copper Nozzle

FOOD-CONTACT

Built for Compatible Food Liquids.

All-plastic construction for compatible low-viscosity food ingredients. Its gentler mechanism is intended for food dispensing, not aggressive chemical service.

All-Plastic Liquid Path

Purpose-Built Selection Protects Performance.

One ordinary sprayer is not built for food, bleach, acids, hydrocarbons, solvents, and every cleaner. Match the sprayer to the liquid instead of relying on a “universal” claim.

BAR5F TOP FOOD CHOICE

One of the Safest Choices for Condiment Dispensing.

The B5F bottle with genuine Yorker cap provides a documented food-contact bottle-and-cap configuration with a simple, direct liquid path.

Its controlled drop-to-stream flow is well suited to compatible sauces, refined oils, marinades, dressings, syrups, and condiments.

For condiments and other pourable food liquids, the B5F bottle with genuine Yorker cap is BAR5F’s safest and most dependable dispensing recommendation.

FOOD-CONTACT CONFIDENCE

From Bottle to Closure.

Food-contact use depends on the bottle, closure, sprayer, and every part that touches the liquid—not one claim by itself.

BPA-Free Is Not Food-Grade.

BAR5F food configurations use a documented food-contact HDPE bottle with a compatible food-contact closure or sprayer.

BETTER RESULTS

Use the Liquid the Sprayer Can Handle.

Get the Pattern the Liquid Can Deliver.

Oil usually will not produce the same fine mist as water. Depending on the oil and sprayer, it may produce a coarse or broken spray. For controlled oil dispensing, a Yorker cap may be the better choice.

Keep Particles Out of the Sprayer.

Herbs, spices, pulp, seeds, sediment, powders, crystals, and undissolved ingredients can clog the dip tube, valves, and nozzle. Thoroughly strain homemade liquids before filling.

Spray Output and Trigger Feel

BAR5F sprayers vary in output, nozzle settings, and grip-to-trigger distance. Depending on the sprayer, output may range from approximately 0.7 mL to 1.6 mL per full trigger stroke . These differences affect the amount dispensed per pull, hand reach, and trigger feel. They do not determine chemical compatibility, which depends on the sprayer’s internal construction and the specific liquid formulation.

CARE & USE

Keep the Configuration Working as Intended.

Make Your Sprayer Last.

Use the right sprayer for the liquid. After use, pump clean water—or the rinse recommended on the product label—through the sprayer until it runs clear. Do not let liquid dry inside. Keep separate sprayers for food, bleach, hydrocarbons, and acids.

Dedicate One Sprayer to One Liquid.

Label each bottle and keep it with the same liquid. Do not move a sprayer from chemicals to food or from one chemical type to another.

Watch for Changes Over Time.

A liquid may spray normally at first and still shorten sprayer life. Replace the sprayer if it leaks, stiffens, loses prime, or the spray pattern changes.
